Welcome to the 2009 American
Legion Baseball Season!
ALL GAMES FOR July 1, 2009 ARE RAINED OUT. THE FIELDS HAVE STANDING WATER AND ARE SATURATED DUE TO THE RAINS OF THE PAST FEW DAYS
1. Attention A League players, coaches, and parents: The corrected and accurate schedule is now up on this website.
2. Please note that as of Friday, June 5, 2009, the Field Director position will be held by the following members of the American Legion Baseball Board:
Mike Swogger (620-4145), Chuck Lerchen (463-6727). Todd Gokey (883-5269), Jocelyn Bohrer (499-3779), and John Witkop (342-5427).
If a coach or parent has a question about schedules, rules, rosters, or anything else associated with the games and teams, please direct those questions to any of the above-named board members. NO OTHER PERSON has authority to make decisions with respect to team rosters, the scheduling of games, or the interpretation of rules and calls of a game.
3. RAIN OUTS? Please listent to WTCM (103.5 FM and 580 AM), or you can call WTCM, at 947-7675.
When we decide to call games due to rain, this is the number we will call. WTCM will announce that over the radio. If you call WTCM and get no answer, press "3" and someone will likely answer. We are in the process of establishing a designated phone number within the American Legion Baseball Committee that you can call for rain out information. We will advise as soon as that number is available.
4. 2009 RULE BOOKS. Due to a technical glitch, we do not have 2009 rule books . We therefore will operate pursuant to the 2008 rule book, the one with the blue cover, with one exception being that in C-League the first 3 innings are machine pitch and the last 3 innings are player pitch.
5. T-Ball, note there are some new batting T's in the umpire building that are available for games. Please return them to the umpire building after the game.
